Mr. Sai Mangipudi holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the reputed Osmania University, Hyderabad, followed by MBA in Finance and Marketing from the prestigious B-school, MDI, Gurgaon.
In a career spanning over 3 decades, most of which was spent with Corporate and Government entities like Tata Steel, Department of Atomic Energy (IRE Ltd.), DHL Global Express & Logistics, Future Group Retail, Reliance Industries Ltd. (Petro-chemical plants) and Vedanta Ltd. (Aluminium and Power), Sai (as he likes to be known), amassed a wealth of experience and insights in the Logistics industry.
During his stints with these giants in the industry, he got a holistic and in-depth understanding of all the various facets of Logistics and Supply chain management. Coupled with his innate sense of patriotism, he decided to translate all his experience and expertise to create a company that represents India on the global stage. With a dream in his eyes and passion in his heart, he set out to transform the Indian Logistics industry by creating breakthrough processes and innovative use of technology through SPL Logistics.
Sanjay is an Ex Naval Commander (voluntarily retired, prematurely). He has also worked with Corporates like Vedanta and Thyssenkrupp. He has nearly 35 years of experience in the field of EPC Projects, Logistics, Operations, Maintenance and General administration, with excellent experience of working in a cross-cultural environment.
He is a post Graduate Mechanical engineer and has done his management course from MDI, Gurugram.
He is responsible to have built the automated alumina import facility at Kakinada Deep Water port and stabilising the operations thereafter. As Port operations head, he was also in charge of Finished goods logistics and import of other raw material He is Rooted in a stable set of values, and consistently producing results with customer focus.
He is deft in reviewing processes, effecting cost control measures, and building a culture of continuous improvement to help the organisation sustain cost-effective operations. He is a manager with an enthusiastic management style, and thrives on challenges.
He is an effective communicator with strong peoples management, leadership, planning, coordination and analytical skills. He heads the Agri business in the company
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NIT – Warangal.
33 Years of experience in sectors of Petrochemical, Power, Non-ferrous metal, Infrastructure development with expertise in Project management, Plant Operations , Port operations, Energy management, Environment management, Quality management, supply chain logistics and Innovative technologies.
Spent significant part of career with Indorama Group and Vedanta Group in various roles in building world class projects, their performance demonstration and sustained operations, process improvement of logistics , digitalization, Rail and Port infra development and their mechanization.
Has been part of SPL since inception where we will be working with corporate clients and mid segment companies to evolve service partnership as 4PL company.
Gaurav Biyani pursued MBA in Operations and Marketing from GIM (Goa institute of Management) in 2018. He also holds B.E. Civil from Medicaps Institute of Science and Technology.
He has been a part of our company since inception and is the General Manager of SPL whose area of focus is business development, client management, team management and management of external affairs. Prior to this, he was working as a Supply Chain Manager at Vedanta Limited, responsible for all the Logistics Commercial Contracts for Vedanta Group - Aluminium Plant at Jharsuguda , BALCO at Korba, Alumina refinery at Lanjigarh, Hindustan Zinc in Udaipur , Sesa Iron Ore plant in Goa and Electrosteel in Bokaro.
He has demonstrated leadership quality in many areas of supply chain logistics in our company and plays a vital role in company’s growth.
Logistics professional with over 30 years of domain knowledge across diverse industries like Retail, Automotive, Industrial and Consumer Logistics sectors. Has held leadership positions handling Multi-modal Logistics, Supply Chain Management for domestic & international organizations such as Future Group, APL Logistics, YCH Logistics Pte Ltd, Murugappa Group, Henkel & Britannia Industries Ltd.
Possess, strong ability to engage with cross sectional stakeholders, across industry verticals, driving commercially attractive results, through an in-depth and cogent understanding of client needs in creating, sustainable impacts and outcomes. Have had diverse competence in executing and developing solutions, within the dynamically changing Logistical ecosystem in India, parts of Asia, Middle East, Europe and in the US.
